Amla Pickle

5-10 Amlas
Cooking Oil
1 tablespoon Mustard Seeds
2 tablespoon Fenugreek seeds
4 Red Chillis
4 Garlic cloves
5 tablespoon of lime juice

How to Make Amla Pickle

  1. Wash Amla thoroughly and dry it
  2.  Prick Amla with a fork or make cuts over it with Knife
  3.  In a pan dry roast, some Fenugreek seeds, Red Chillis and once done add Mustard seeds to it
  4. Let this mixture cool and then blend it into a fine powder
  5. In a pan add a generous amount of oil, fry the amla in it. Once the amla is 40% cooked add garlic to it and cook until it is 70% cooked.
  6. Add the Powder to it and let it cool
  7. Once it cools add lime juice to it
  8. Mix it well and Store it in an airtight container and let it sit for about 7 days so that spices essence gets into the amla
  9. Your Amla Pickle is ready for consumption ( My mouth is watering during this whole time while I am penning down the recipe for you guys!!, I hope you enjoy it)
