Significance of water for our body

Water is essential element for life, if you ask me choose between food and water, I would choose water over food.Water comprises from 75% body weight in infants to 55% in elderly and is essential for cellular homeostasis and life

Why stay hydrated ?

Water is rich source of electrolytes and basic salts needed for our body. Tap water has sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, phosphate, sulfate, bicarbonate and chloride. Even doctor’s recommend tap water for drinking once in a week so we can get all the minerals and salts from it.

Quick recipes to keep yourself hydrated 

All the below recipes are to make 1 glass of refreshing drink

 

  1. Lemon Water :- Added 2 spoons of sugar, a pinch of salt , a pinch of black pepper and half a tea spoon of lemon juice, mix well. add water and some ice cubes. Your drink is ready !!
  2. Jeera water :- In a pan added 1.5 glass of water and 1 tablespoon of jeers, boil it thoroughly until it reduces to almost 1 glass of water. Let it cool, add a pinch of salt and some cubes and enjoy your drink !!
  3. Honey Ginger and lime Water :- In a pan added 1.5 glass of water, few pieces of ginger, boil it thoroughly until it reduces to almost 1 glass of water. once it cools, add 1 teaspoons of honey and lime juice and enjoy your drink !!
  4. Strawberry Infused Water :- In a glass of water added a few freshly cut strawberries and let is sit overnight. the essence of the strawberry will seep in the water and your strawberry water is ready.
  5. Cucumber Infused Water:- In a glass of water added a few freshly cut cucumber slices and let is sit overnight. the essence of the strawberry will seep in the water and your strawberry water is ready.
  6. Lemon Infused Water:- In a glass of water added a few freshly cut lemon wedge and let is sit overnight. the essence of the strawberry will seep in the water and your strawberry water is ready.
  7. Mint Water:- In a glass of water added a freshly fine cut mint and a teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt, mix well and add a few cubes of ice and enjoy your cool refreshing drink.
  8. Mint – Basil Sparkle water:- In a glass of sparkle water added a freshly fine cut mint and a teaspoon of sugar and a pinch of salt, mix well and add a few cubes of ice and enjoy your cool refreshing drink.
  9. Mint Lemon Water:- In a glass of water added a freshly fine cut mint, a teaspoon of lime juice and 2 teaspoons of sugar and a pinch of salt, mix well and add a few cubes of ice and enjoy your cool refreshing drink.
  10. Mint -Basil -Lemon Water:- In a glass of water added a freshly fine cut mint and basil leaves, 1 spoon of lime juice,2 teaspoons of sugar and a pinch of salt, mix well and add a few cubes of ice and enjoy your cool refreshing drink.

you can try all the above drinks with sparkle water as a variation if you are like sparkle water.
